Lady Gaga and Michael Polansky are parents!

On Sept. 11, a source told PEOPLE that the couple have welcomed their first baby nearly six years after they were first photographed kissing at a 2020 New Year’s Eve party in Las Vegas.

The pair went public with their relationship after spending a PDA-packed weekend together in Miami for the 2020 Super Bowl, later quarantining together at Gaga’s Malibu home during the COVID-19 pandemic. After Gaga and Polansky bonded, the tech entrepreneur, investor and philanthropist quickly became a major part of Gaga’s life.

“My dogs and the man that I love are my whole life,” she told The Hollywood Reporter in November 2021.

Gaga sparked engagement rumors in April 2024 when she was spotted wearing a massive diamond ring on that finger. She later confirmed the rumors to be true when she called Polansky her “fiancé“ at the Paris Olympics.

In September 2025, Gaga called Polansky the “love of my life“ in a tribute she shared to him on Instagram after her wins at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards.

“Having your creative partnership in our art, business and in love–is a love I’ve never known,” she wrote. “I know you to be a man of many talents, a true renaissance man, your mind and kind heart are what make you shine. I have seen there’s nothing you can’t do.”

He’s a Harvard graduate and an entrepreneur

According to his LinkedIn profile, Polansky attended Harvard University between 2002 and 2006. He graduated with a degree in applied mathematics and computer science.

Polansky is currently a businessman and entrepreneur who holds several roles at nonprofits and companies. In 2022, he co-founded the skin health company Outer Biosciences.

Polansky also helped create the Parker Foundation in 2015 alongside Sean Parker, co-founder of Facebook and Napster, where he has served as the executive director for over a decade. The philanthropic organization aims to create positive changes in global public health, life sciences and civic engagement.

They went Instagram official after the 2020 Super Bowl

Gaga and Polansky made their relationship Instagram official after spending Super Bowl weekend together in February 2020. The singer shared a photo of the two on a boat in Miami with the caption, “We had so much fun in Miami. Love to all my little monsters and fans, you’re the best! ❤️.”

Polansky was also seen at pre-game and promotional events throughout the weekend to support Gaga, who was performing at the AT&T TV Super Saturday Night show.

“They weren’t shy about showing off PDA,” a source told PEOPLE about the weekend. “They seemed very happy together.”

He and Gaga have a shared passion for charitable work

In addition to his work, Polansky is also a board member of the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy, which funds research for cancer treatments. A source told PEOPLE that he and Gaga first bonded over their “focus” on charity, as Gaga supports mental health initiatives through her Born This Way Foundation.

The couple have also worked together to benefit and fundraise for various charitable causes including the One World: Together at Home concert, which Gaga organized.

“They are both hard-working and love working together on charity projects […] They have not been sitting around during the lockdown and instead focused on where they can do good. They want to help out where they can,” a source told PEOPLE in 2021.

Fans think he’s the inspiration behind “Stupid Love”

On March 5, 2020, Gaga posted a selfie with Polansky, and the caption made fans speculate whether her single “Stupid Love” was inspired by the entrepreneur.

“I’ve got a STUPID love💕,” she captioned the post just a week after the single dropped.

Prior to dating Polansky, Gaga was engaged to talent manager Christian Carino, before the pair called it quits in February 2019. She was also previously engaged to actor Taylor Kinney, whom she met on the set of her “Yoü and I” music video in 2011. Gaga announced that the couple had ended their engagement in June 2016.

Gaga gave him a shout-out during a Las Vegas performance

In July 2024, during one of her final Jazz & Piano concerts at Park MGM in Las Vegas, Gaga gave Polansky a sweet shout-out while on stage.

She dedicated the show to “my mister.”

He and Gaga are engaged

Gaga confirmed her and Polansky’s engagement in July 2024. While talking to French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal at the Paris Olympics, she introduced the tech entrepreneur as her “fiancé.”

At the Venice Film Festival two months later, Gaga flashed her engagement ring at photographers as she arrived at the event with Polansky. Marriage was already in Gaga’s sights when she started dating Polansky, as she shared during a March 2025 appearance on Good Morning America.

“I wanted marriage and kids more than anything,” she said. “Michael flew to Vegas when I was doing my show to take me on our first date and before we even sat down, I said, ‘Do you want marriage and kids?’ And he goes, ‘Yeah, I do.’ And I said, ‘Okay, great, do you want some champagne?’ And he said, ‘Sure.’ “

Polansky made a rare comment about their wedding preparations while talking to Rolling Stone for Gaga’s cover story in November 2025.

“We’re talking about it all the time,” he said. “We have these breaks, and they’re tempting. It’s like, ‘Okay, can we get married that weekend?’ We don’t want a really big wedding, but we want to enjoy it. In a lot of ways, we already feel married, so it’s not like it’s gonna change much.”

He has collaborated with Gaga

While talking to PEOPLE at the Los Angeles premiere of Joker: Folie à Deux, Gaga shared that Polansky worked with her on the companion album she recorded for the film, serving as a co-executive producer.

“It’s just the first time that we decided to fully just go into it and do it. It just felt right,” she said. “We were both so excited. We were all warmed up and ready to go.”

Gaga added, “I just love my fiancé so much. He’s my best friend. He’s my partner, and I just feel like when you are with your best friend, everything changes.”

In January 2025, Gaga revealed that she and Polansky had collaborated on another song when she performed at the FireAid Benefit Concert.

“When I was thinking about what to sing tonight, I thought I wanted to do something hopeful for you. And I was thinking about my songs, and there wasn’t anything that seemed quite right,” she said. “So, me and my friend Michael — my fiancé, my love — we wrote this song for you. It’s just for tonight. It’s just for you. I think we all need a lot of things right now, but I think something we may also need is time. Time is a healer.”

He and Gaga welcomed their first child in 2026

Page Six was the first to report the news that Gaga and Polansky welcomed a child sometime before Sept. 11, after they were spotted out in California as a family of three.

A source told PEOPLE that the new parents “both took time off of work this summer to be with [the] baby,” adding that they “both beam when they talk about being parents.”

So far, Gaga and Polansky haven’t shared any details about their little one, including the child’s age, birth date or sex.
