Chip Gaines is ready to grow his family — and he’s already spreading the news.
On Thursday, Nov. 5, Joanna Gaines appeared on Kylie Kelce’s podcast Not Gonna Lie and spoke about her family of seven. As the HGTV star, 48, encouraged Kelce to have a fifth baby, she revealed that Chip wants another baby now and has been joking to all their family and friends that she’s already pregnant.
“When I had Crew at 40, I said, ‘Chip, I want him to have more siblings,’ ” recalled Joanna. “I really thought I’d have nine children. I’m that lady. Look at my hair — don’t I look like a lady that would have nine kids? And he was not open to it. Guess who’s open to it now? At 48?”

“You know what he’s doing? He’s telling everybody I’m pregnant, and just for the record, I’m not,” quipped Joanna. “His parents came to the football [game], and he’s like, ‘Jo, tell my dad.’”
Joanna said her husband began telling their older children that she is pregnant again, which had a less than enthusiastic reaction from one of her daughters.
“He told our grown kids, ‘Mom is pregnant.’ My daughter said, ‘I’m not coming home if this is true,’ ” explained Joanna. “He’s like trying to speak it out into the universe.”
“We did the speaking thing last week in front of 2,000 people, and he said, ‘If anyone has any connection to TMZ, will you tell them that my wife is [pregnant]?” she continued. “So that whole audience thinks I’m pregnant. I don’t know what’s happening. But I’m not.”
“I’m just saying, Kylie, bust it out. Five. It’s going to be your little boy, and it’s going to rock your world because it’s totally different than girls,” she added. “And it’s another spot in your heart. And if it’s a girl, great because five girls is a party house.”
Joanna and Chip are parents to sons Drake, 21, Duke, 18, and Crew, 8, as well as daughters Emmie, 16, and Ella, 20.
Earlier this month, Joanna shared a Reel on her Instagram as she gave a rare peek into her family’s Halloween celebrations. In the video, both Joanna and Chip could be seen wearing Princess Leia wigs, before panning out to show their son Crew dressed as a Stormtrooper.
In another post, Crew could be seen entering the kitchen in full costume before removing his Stormtrooper mask to indulge in some chips and queso. “A stormtrooper with a soft spot for queso. The Force is strong with this one ,” joked Joanna in her caption.
