Rapper POORSTACY, known offstage as Carlito Milfort and recognized for his collaborations with Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, has died at the age of 26. According to reports, the artist passed away early Saturday morning in Boca Raton, Florida, following a medical emergency.

The Boca Raton Police Department confirmed the news to TMZ, and the Palm Beach County Medical Examiner later verified his death. The exact cause has not yet been determined.

A hotel employee told the outlet that POORSTACY had been staying at the property for about 10 days. He reportedly checked in with a woman and a toddler. On Saturday morning, he experienced a medical emergency and was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. No other individuals were injured or transported for medical care.

A Rising Talent in the Emo-Rap and Punk Scene

POORSTACY, a Palm Beach native, gained recognition for his unique fusion of emo, punk, and hip-hop, quickly building a loyal fanbase and attracting the attention of major artists. His work led him to frequent collaborations with Travis Barker, both in the studio and on major projects.

He also shared a close professional and personal bond with Bring Me The Horizon frontman Oli Sykes. In a 2021 interview with Revolver, POORSTACY described Sykes as both a mentor and a friend, recalling how they exchanged handwritten letters, shared fashion ideas, and spent long nights playing video games together.
