Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu and filmmaker Raj Nidimoru tied the knot on Monday morning in a traditional Bhuta Shuddhi Vivaha ceremony at the Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore. The couple, known for their work on the series Citadel, opted for a quiet and private wedding attended only by close family members and friends. After the ceremony, the pair shared their wedding announcement on social media.
Soon after the news broke, Samantha’s close friend Shilpa Reddy posted exclusive inside photos from the wedding. One of the images captured Samantha and Raj holding hands and gazing at each other during the ceremony, offering fans a glimpse of the special moments from the day.
Shilpa also uploaded several additional pictures showcasing the serene wedding setup, minimalist floral decorations, and details from the venue. Among the highlights were images from the couple’s intimate reception lunch, featuring a traditional vegetarian thali.
Samantha Announces Her Wedding with New Pictures
Samantha confirmed her wedding by posting a series of photographs with the caption “01.12.2025.” The images featured Raj placing a ring on her finger before the Linga Bhairavi, the couple performing rituals, offering aarti, and walking hand in hand through a flower-adorned threshold.
For the ceremony, Raj wore a classic white kurta paired with a beige Nehru jacket, while Samantha chose a red-and-gold saree, styled with fresh flowers in her hair.
Samantha’s Unique Wedding Ring Draws Attention
One detail that gathered significant attention online was Samantha’s distinctive wedding ring. Jeweller Hafsa Qureshi told India Today that the ring was designed using portrait-cut diamonds, with each stone handcrafted by skilled artisans.
Following the announcement, several celebrities, including Anupama Parameswaran, Nimrat Kaur, Dimple Hayathi, and Ananya Panday, sent their congratulations to the newlyweds.
The Couple’s Relationship Timeline
Samantha and Raj had been private about their relationship, though dating rumours began circulating in early 2024 after they made several joint public appearances. Observant fans have now noticed hints suggesting that the couple may have been engaged since February.
The two share a professional rapport as well, having collaborated on The Family Man 2 and Citadel: Honey Bunny. They are also working together on upcoming production projects.
