Lana Del Rey is in her “Video Games” era.

On Thursday, April 16, Del Rey surprised fans by dropping a new song called “First Light” — which will serve as the official theme song for the upcoming James Bond video game 007 First Light.

On the cinematic, orchestral theme song, Del Rey joined forces with five-time Bond film composer David Arnold.

“Can’t say I’m surprised to see you running towards the sun / Like a moth to a flame (Hey),” Del Rey, 40, sings. “People try and stop you, all the fates just watch you (Ooh) / Dying just to know whether you’ll play your life like a game.”

In a press release announcing the song, Arnold said that the “Summertime Sadness” singer “brought an elegance and atmosphere to the song that felt perfectly suited” for the Bond tradition — while still “introducing something fresh for a new era.”

“The Bond theme is a unique storytelling moment; it has to capture scale, drama, and intrigue all at once. Having been part of that musical lineage, I understand how important it is to honor its heritage while allowing it to evolve,” he added.

The video game “presents a bold new take with a reimagined origin story,” according to the release, and it follows “a young James Bond at the very beginning of his journey in the world of espionage.”

007 First Light is scheduled to launch on May 27.

Before “First Light,” Del Rey has released numerous singles for films like 2013’s “Young and Beautiful” for The Great Gatsby, 2014’s “Once Upon a Dream” for Maleficent, 2014’s “Big Eyes” and “I Can Fly” for Big Eyes and “Don’t Call Me Angel” for 2019’s Charlie’s Angels.

Months before the video game theme song, Del Rey released a single called “White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter” from her upcoming album Stove. Del Rey co-wrote the song with her sister Chuck Grant, her brother-in-law Jason Pickens and her husband Jeremy Dufrene.

The singer-songwriter has yet to announced a release date for Stove. However, she’s released singles “Bluebird” and “Henry, Come On.”
