Javier Bardem and Penélope Cruz had a sporty date night as they cheered on their home country in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The Invite actress, 52, and F1 actor, 57, were spotted in the stands during Spain’s winning match against Austria at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif., on Thursday, June 2.
Cruz could be seen sporting a red Spain T-shirt, baseball cap and sunglasses, while Bardem donned a simple green T-shirt, cap and sunglasses.
The couple chatted with a few celebrity friends while in the stands, including Spanish musician Rosalía, who stood to cheer and celebrate after Spain won the knockout stage match, per a video from FOX Sports.
Spain beat Austria 3-0, extending its winning streak to 34 games — with help from Real Sociedad forward Mikel Oyarzabal, who scored two of the team’s goals on Thursday.
The Spanish national team will next head to the Round of 16 stage on Monday in Arlington, Texas, and will face Portugal or Croatia, depending on which team wins later on Thursday.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup kicked off in North America on June 11, with matches happening in 16 different cities across the U.S., Mexico and Canada until the final on July 19.
Cruz and Bardem — who first met filming the movie Jamón, Jamón together in 1992 and now share two children, son Leo and daughter Luna — have been just a few of the many famous faces to make an appearance at the highly anticipated tournament. Tom Cruise, Paris Hilton, Jay-Z and many more have attended games to cheer on their favorite teams.

In May, Bardem, who wed his Vicky Cristina Barcelona costar in 2010, opened up about the strength of their relationship after 15 years of marriage.
“She’s a woman I’m so blessed by having had the chance to be at the same time, in the same place, in life,” the Spanish actor told Variety

“It’s important that you respect and support your partner, but also that you admire that person for what she is, for what she does,” Bardem said of Cruz, adding that she is “an amazing, beautiful, good human being.”
“The way she relates to her family, to her friends, to our kids, to me, to herself. It’s been a lot of years, and I haven’t seen a hint of malice in her,” Bardem raved of his wife. “On top of that, she’s amazingly f—ing beautiful! When I see her being photographed on some magazines, I go, Is that my wife? Jesus, is it? It must be!”
Cruz’s latest movie, The Invite, is now screening in select cities. Bardem stars in Dune: Part Three, which opens on Dec. 18.
