Veteran actor Nana Patekar was brought dead to a hospital in Goa in the early hours of Thursday, October 8. Dr Shekhar Salkar, Chief of the Oncology Department at Manipal Hospital, said the veteran actor was declared dead by around 5:30 am after attempts to revive him for nearly an hour.

The actor’s caretaker was subsequently contacted, following which the hospital’s emergency response team reached his residence. Doctors began cardiac massage as Nana was completely unresponsive. He was shifted to Manipal Hospital at around 4:20-4:30 am while efforts to revive him continued.
