Madonna is taking inspiration from her past as she embarks on her Confessions II era.
The Queen of Pop’s longtime stylist Rita Melssen opened up to Vogue about curating the aesthetics of the upcoming album, which serves as a follow-up to 2005’s Confessions on a Dance Floor.

“The idea was to create a woman who just never stopped dancing,” Melssen told the publication in an interview published on Thursday, June 11. “She’s been on the dance floor this whole time: The dance floor is where her heart beats, and where everything happens.”
