Former Home Improvement star Zachery Ty Bryan is facing legal trouble again after being arrested in Eugene, Oregon, for a probation violation linked to his previous domestic violence case. According to online jail records, the actor was taken into custody on Saturday and is being held without bail until his next court appearance on December 3.
Bryan is currently serving a three-year probation sentence from a 2023 conviction, which remains active until October 2026. His ongoing legal issues have continued to escalate in recent years.

His girlfriend, Johnnie Faye Cartwright, was also arrested over the weekend. She faces multiple charges, including DUII (Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants), three counts of reckless endangering, and attempted first-degree assault. Cartwright is expected to be arraigned on Monday in the same Oregon jail where Bryan is being held.
The legal troubles for Home Improvement Zachery Ty Bryan date back to 2020, when a drunken dispute between him and Cartwright led to several charges. Bryan ultimately pleaded guilty to menacing. Since then, he has faced additional arrests, including a DUII in Oklahoma and an assault case in South Carolina involving Cartwright.
Just last week, Bryan stated he was committed to a “journey toward personal growth,” acknowledging past violent behavior. This comes after another woman obtained a five-year restraining order in July, accusing him of verbal and physical abuse, though no criminal charges have followed.
