Former Pawn Stars personality Corey “Big Hoss” Harrison recently suffered a devastating motorcycle accident. Consequently, the 42-year-old reality TV star is now turning to fans for financial assistance to cover his mounting medical debt. The terrifying crash left him fighting for his life and completely drained his personal finances.

The Accident and Severe Injuries
The serious collision occurred in late January 2026 near Harrison’s home in Tulum, Mexico. The accident happened just days before his father, Rick Harrison, tied the knot in Cancun.
According to his close friend Aron Chambers, the crash resulted in several life-threatening injuries:
- 11 fractured ribs
- A punctured lung (one rib completely separated and pressed into his lung cavity)
- Internal bleeding requiring nearly three liters of blood to be drained
- A severe concussion and facial injuries
A Desperate Financial Struggle
Initially, emergency responders rushed Harrison to a hospital in Playa del Carmen. However, after 14 days, the massive financial pressure became overwhelming. Because medical emergencies in foreign tourist destinations often require heavy upfront payments, his bills skyrocketed quickly.
Ultimately, Harrison checked himself out against medical advice. Back home in Tulum, he relied on a house doctor for IV fluids and morphine. He was incredibly hesitant to take heavy pain medication following the tragic fentanyl overdose of his brother, Adam Harrison, in January 2024. Unfortunately, his oxygen levels soon plummeted to dangerously low levels.
Desperate for affordable care, his friends drove him over four hours inland to a facility in Mérida. There, doctors performed three life-saving surgeries during an additional 18-day hospital stay.
The GoFundMe and Family Response

Currently, Harrison’s medical bills exceed $100,000. To cover the costs, he emptied his entire bank account and his friends maxed out their credit cards. To help bridge the massive financial gap, Chambers launched a GoFundMe campaign. The emergency fundraiser aims to cover his outstanding medical bills, back rent, and the eventual cost of traveling back to the United States.
While Harrison is no longer officially affiliated with Pawn Stars, he does still receive some residual checks. His father, Rick Harrison, recently stepped in to help pay a portion of the six-figure hospital bills. However, Rick is known for his strict “tough love” approach to finances, and Corey fully intends to pay his father back. As Rick recently stated to the press, “Corey is a grown man and he will deal with his life as he sees fit.”
