The journey to find America’s next superstar is heating up!
Season 23 of American Idol kicked off in March, featuring a new panel of judges: Carrie Underwood, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan. Aspiring singers from across the country auditioned for a shot at fame, with 150 hopefuls moving forward to Hollywood Week.
The Top 24 Perform in Paradise
After intense competition, the top 24 performed at Disney’s Aulani Resort in Hawaii. Celebrity mentors Ashanti and Josh Groban, along with Idol’s artist-in-residence Jelly Roll, helped polish their performances.
This round gave viewers at home the chance to vote for their favorites for the first time this season.
Fan Favorites Move Forward

Among the standout contestants is Zaylie Windsor, 18, from Arkansas. Carrie Underwood compared her to a young Taylor Swift during her audition. Another popular name is Baylee Littrell, 22, son of Backstreet Boys star Brian Littrell, hailing from Georgia.

Not everyone made the cut. Two talented contestants were sent home:
