On Monday’s episode (April 14) of NBC’s hit singing competition, coach John Legend paired powerhouse vocalists Jacquelyn George and Olivia Kuper Harris for a knockout round that had everyone talking — especially guest coach Kelsea Ballerini.
While both contestants brought their A-game, it was Olivia’s electrifying rendition of Donna Summer’s disco anthem “Last Dance” that left a strong impression on the country-pop star.
“Olivia, that first part made me want to go home and make out with my boyfriend,” Kelsea, 31, quipped, referring to her actor beau Chase Stokes, 32. “It was so strong and sexy, and then you got up and showed a playful side. As Adam would say in very caveman terms, ‘Big time wow.’”
Fellow coach Michael Bublé added to the fun, joking:

“Both of the song choices literally made me want to go and make out with Kelsea’s boyfriend too,” prompting laughter from the entire panel. “Olivia, this was the first time in season 27 that we’ve seen someone play keyboards. I love that. There’s a Celine Dion sound to your voice. I will not be saying which one I choose because I feel you both killed it.”
Meanwhile, Adam Levine was still reeling from being rejected by both contestants earlier in the competition.
“Well you know, I had the unique pleasure of turning around and being denied by both of you,” he joked. “Olivia, you really blew my expectations tonight. That was big time wow.”
In the end, coach John Legend made the call to move Olivia forward in the competition.
“Olivia, wow,” he praised during his confessional. “She nailed it with style, with control and when she leans into that jazzy tone, it’s really special. There’s really no one else like her in the competition.”
