Miley Cyrus just dropped a massive bombshell during the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special, which is streaming now on Disney+. Sitting down with host Alex Cooper, the pop icon casually confirmed a decades-old rumor: she secretly dated The Suite Life of Zack & Cody star Dylan Sprouse!
The “Suite” Life Romance
“Dylan Sprouse was my boyfriend,” Miley confessed during the special. “I think he was the cutest.”
The “Flowers” singer explained that during the early days of their respective Disney shows, she harbored a massive crush on the actor. “Their dad would take us to sushi,” she recalled, adding with a laugh that hanging out with Dylan also meant getting to spend time with his twin brother, Cole. “I was into the whole culture, and it was a two-for-one. Like, bring the brother. Hello!”
The duo even shared the screen during the iconic 2006 Disney Channel crossover event, That’s So Suite Life of Hannah Montana.
Dylan Addressed the Rumors Years Ago
While Miley is just now confirming the childhood romance, Dylan actually alluded to it way back in 2008 during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. Dylan, who married model Barbara Palvin in 2023, joked that they “kind of relatively” dated when they were 11 or 12 after meeting on her set.
However, he jokingly blamed another famous Disney heartthrob for their eventual split. “And then Nick Jonas walked by, and it was over,” he laughed.
