The 2025 TV season promises to be an exciting one, with many fan-favorite series officially coming back. Networks and streaming platforms are making renewal announcements, ensuring that viewers have plenty to look forward to. From high-stakes dramas to laugh-out-loud comedies, here’s what’s confirmed so far.
Apple TV+ Brings Bad Monkey Back for Another Season
Apple TV+ surprised fans by renewing Bad Monkey, even though its season finale seemed to wrap up most storylines. The series, based on Carl Hiaasen’s novel, follows former police detective Andrew Yancy (Vince Vaughn), who transitions into a restaurant inspector. However, his life takes an unexpected turn when a severed arm washes up onshore, pulling him into a murder investigation.
Before the official renewal, Natalie Martinez, who plays Rosa, hinted at a possible continuation.
“There’s a lot of love between Rosa and Yancy. He’s helped her in so many ways, and they’ve built a strong friendship,” Martinez told Us Weekly in October 2024. “It’s not a goodbye; it’s a see-you-later. The possibilities are endless.”
Hulu’s Rivals Set for a Second Season

Meanwhile, Hulu confirmed that Rivals will return for another season, expanding on its intense 1980s-era television feud. The series centers on two men battling for control of a TV station, but fans became especially drawn to the complicated love story between Rupert (Alex Hassell) and Taggie (Bella MacLean), with Declan (Aidan Turner) adding more drama.
“I’m really intrigued. So many obstacles are in our way, and Rupert is struggling with his morals,” MacLean revealed in December 2024. “There are lots of ideas being thrown around. We need season 2 fast.”
