In a candid conversation with fellow Celebrity Big Brother housemate and RuPaul’s Drag Race star Danny Beard, Siwa opened up about her evolving understanding of her identity.

“I’ve never—I think I’ve always told myself I’m a lesbian,” she said. “I think being here, I’ve realized I am not a lesbian; I’m queer, and I think that’s really cool. I’m switching letters! I’ve dropped the L, and I’ve gone to the Q, baby! That’s what I love about sexuality.”

Danny Beard, who also identifies as queer, was supportive of JoJo’s journey, with their presence in the house reportedly helping Siwa feel safe and seen enough to express herself in new ways.

Relationship Rumors Stir in the House

Aside from identity conversations, JoJo Siwa has also caught the public’s attention due to her on-screen chemistry with fellow housemate Chris Hughes. Speculation has grown over the nature of their bond, especially after viewers spotted moments of them cuddling in the same bed. Although Siwa eventually returned to her own bed, Hughes was later overheard saying, “I missed her,” adding fuel to the rumors.
