During his appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday, March 5, Smith, 57, shared his thoughts on whether the couple—both 35—will take their relationship to the next level in 2025.
“I’m scared to get this wrong!” Smith said with a laugh. “Travis Kelce, that’s my dawg. A lot of ladies love him, and he’s loved a lot of ladies. But Taylor Swift? She’s different.”
Praising Swift’s talent and billion-dollar net worth, Smith confidently added, “We’re going to guess a ‘yes’ on this one.” Fallon agreed, saying, “Oh, I hope that happens.”
A Love Story in the Spotlight
Kelce and Swift have been dating since mid-2023 but went public in September of that year. Since then, their romance has been in the limelight, with Swift attending multiple Kansas City Chiefs games, including back-to-back Super Bowls in 2024 and 2025.
Kelce, in turn, has supported Swift at her record-breaking Eras Tour, even making a surprise on-stage appearance in London in June 2024. “It’s very unlike me,” Kelce admitted on his New Heights podcast. “I don’t like going on stages, but I’ve seen the show enough—might as well put me to work!”
The couple is currently enjoying some downtime together after Kelce’s NFL season and Swift’s latest tour. Sources tell Us Weekly that they are using this time to “lay low” and plan their next steps.
