Sherri Shepherd voiced her disapproval of the sheer and revealing fashion choices made by several celebrities at the 2025 Vanity Fair Oscar Party in Beverly Hills, California, on Sunday, March 2.
Celebrities Under Scrutiny
The 57-year-old talk show host specifically called out stars like Megan Thee Stallion, Zoë Kravitz, and Julia Fox for their bold, barely-there ensembles.
“You could see everything,” Shepherd remarked during the Tuesday, March 4, episode of her self-titled talk show. “Zoë Kravitz graced us with her butt crack. Megan Thee Stallion wore a dark green gown with just matching pasties covering her breasts.” Fox, on the other hand, wore a sheer dress with strategically placed hair strands covering her crotch and cleavage, leaving little to the imagination.
Concern for Young Audiences
Shepherd then took on a more serious tone, expressing concern over the influence such fashion choices have on younger audiences. “Ladies, this is not it. There are young girls looking up to you, and they may try to emulate these looks,” she said.
The former View cohost was particularly disappointed with Megan Thee Stallion’s outfit, stating, “Megan, I love you, but God gave you a legitimate gift. You’re brilliant with your rhymes and incredibly intelligent. Whether you want to be or not, you are a role model.”
The Impact of Role Models

Shepherd also referenced Megan’s college graduation, emphasizing how inspiring it was to many young women. “When you graduated, do you know how many girls you motivated to pursue education? You didn’t ask for that responsibility, but it comes with the territory,” she added.
Shepherd didn’t limit her critique to Oscar night. She also mentioned Bianca Censori, Kanye West’s wife, who wore a sheer outfit to the Grammys in February. “It wasn’t just her cookie jar—we saw cakes and croissants too,” she joked, adding that Censori appeared uncomfortable in her attire.
A Call for Thoughtfulness
Ending on a cautionary note, Shepherd urged celebrities to consider the influence they have over younger generations. “These young women and men are our future. They don’t have security or protection like celebrities when they step out in these outfits. Just think about who you’re influencing before making these fashion choices,” she said.
She concluded by reaffirming that her intention wasn’t to shame anyone but to highlight a growing concern: “I love all of y’all, but Auntie Sherri has spoken.”
