Bamonte had been part of the The Cure for many years, contributing to the group’s sound and success throughout its evolution. He began his association with the band in a technical role in the mid-1980s and became a full-time member in 1990, remaining with them through 2005 and rejoining for tours and music projects from 2022 until his death. During his time with the band, he worked on multiple albums and performed in hundreds of live shows.
