Paige DeSorbo is candidly reflecting on her past relationship with ex-boyfriend Craig Conover, acknowledging that she ignored several red flags during their time together.
Paige DeSorbo on Overlooking Issues in the Relationship
During the Wednesday, March 19, episode of the Summer House after-show, DeSorbo, 32, admitted that she didn’t fully realize the extent of the issues in her relationship until after it ended.
“I think obviously when you’re in it, you can’t see it the way you do once you’re out of it—or the way your friends see it,” Paige shared. “And I think I loved him so much that I tolerated too much.”
She also revealed how Conover often overshadowed her accomplishments. “Now that I’m out of it and I look back on things, I’m like, ‘Oh wait.’ Anytime I had a career milestone, he found a way to make it about him,” she added.
Ciara Miller and Amanda Batula Defend Paige
Paige’s Summer House costars, Ciara Miller and Amanda Batula, immediately supported her. They reacted after watching a clip from a dinner conversation between Paige and Craig. In the video, Craig insisted their relationship should always be a priority, even as Paige’s career grew.
Amanda pointed out that Paige was very supportive of Craig. She even attended “meet and greets” at his Sewing Down South store in Charleston. Ciara added that Paige often acted like a “mother” to Craig.
Craig’s Comments on Marriage and Family
In another dinner clip, Craig told Paige her job couldn’t be a priority once they got married and started a family.
“Anytime it was something for me—my friend’s wedding or a family wedding—he would find a way to make it about him and ruin the moment,” Paige recalled. “It was embarrassing. I was blinded.”
Paige on Craig’s Response to Her Anxiety
Paige also revealed that she now sees Craig’s response to her panic attacks in a different light. While she did not go into detail, she hinted that his reactions were part of the larger pattern of behavior that made her feel unsupported.
