Jenna Ortega stole the spotlight at the Death of a Unicorn screening in New York City on March 11 with her stunning double-winged eyeliner look. The mastermind behind this statement-making glam, celebrity makeup artist Vincent Oquendo, exclusively shared with Us Weekly the step-by-step process to recreate it.
“When I showed Jenna the combination of the black eyeliner with the sparkle on top, she immediately loved it. She said it reminded her of the unicorn’s skin from the film,” Oquendo explained.
The look, which he described as “East Village punk meets a unicorn,” is surprisingly easy to pull off with the right products and techniques.
How to Get Jenna Ortega’s Double-Winged Eyeliner Look
Step 1: Create the Base
Oquendo started by applying the Diorshow On Stage Crayon in #099 Black along Jenna’s upper lash line, forming a classic wing. He then extended another wing along the lower lash line to create the signature double-winged effect.
Step 2: Define and Sparkle
Next, he used the Diorshow 5 Couleurs in #073 Pied-de-Poule and swept the sparkly black shade over the eyeliner. He meticulously blended and carved into it using precise-tip cotton swabs, achieving a feathered yet defined appearance.
Step 3: Finishing Touches
To complete the look, he lined Jenna’s waterline with the black crayon, enhancing the punk-inspired aesthetic. Finally, he coated her lashes with Diorshow Mascara in #090 Black for a bold, eye-catching finish.
