Fabien Frankel, best known for his role as Ser Criston Cole in House of the Dragon, has teamed up with his brother Max Mark Franke to launch a new film and TV production company, MarcelMonique Pictures.

A Family Legacy in Cinema

Fabien shared that the name MarcelMonique comes from their grandparents. “Our granddad loved movies. He passed that passion to our mom, and she passed it on to us,” Fabien explained. “This feels pretty special to continue this legacy.”

The brothers have always had a deep connection to cinema. “Ever since I can remember, my brother and I have loved movies. It was something that brought us together as kids and allowed our imaginations to run wild,” he added.

Their First Project and Future Plans

MarcelMonique Pictures’ first project was the music video “Wife Once” by the band Memory of Speke. The video received recognition, earning a nomination at the prestigious Camerimage Festival. It was also nominated for a Berlin Music Video Award.

The brothers have big plans for the future. They are working on several short films and a feature script. They are also collaborating with musician Peter Zummo for a music video of his track “The Tape Is Chill,” financed by British fragrance brand Penhaligon’s.

Fabien and Max’s Careers

Fabien’s breakout role in House of the Dragon has made him a prominent figure in Hollywood. He has also appeared in Netflix’s The Serpent and in the festive romantic comedy Last Christmas. His upcoming projects include a role in the third season of House of the Dragon, set to premiere next summer.

Max, a London-based producer, has worked on a variety of projects, including the shorts A Minor Intervention and Lag. His recent work includes producing Rick Gomez’s She Dances, starring Ethan Hawke and Rosemarie Dewitt, and Our Hero Balthazar, starring Asa Butterfield.
