Mumbai: Popular Bollywood actor Govinda was taken to the hospital after suffering a bullet injury at his home in Juhu, Mumbai. The 60-year-old actor was injured when his licensed revolver accidentally went off, according to the Mumbai Police. Fortunately, the actor is out of danger, and his manager has confirmed that he is recovering well.
The accident happened early in the morning, around 4:45 am. Govinda was alone at his residence when the incident took place. The revolver, which was legally owned, misfired after it reportedly fell while being kept in a cupboard. This led to a bullet hitting the actor in his leg. Actor’s Manager Confirms Govinda’s Condition
The actor’s manager shared more details about the incident. He explained that the team had a flight to Kolkata early in the morning, scheduled for 6 am. Govinda was preparing to leave for the airport when the accident occurred.
“I was already at the airport, waiting for Govinda ji to arrive. We were heading to Kolkata for a show. Just as he was about to leave his residence, the unfortunate accident took place,” the manager stated. He added that the revolver misfired after falling while it was being placed in a cupboard.
The manager expressed relief that the injury was limited to Govinda’s leg and did not cause any more serious damage. “By God’s grace, Govinda ji only sustained a leg injury. It could have been much worse, but thankfully, it wasn’t serious,” he said.

The Mumbai Police have confirmed that Govinda has not filed any formal complaint regarding the incident. Since the revolver is licensed, and the incident was an accident, no further legal action seems to be necessary at this time.
