Florence Pugh has a new love in her life: fellow actor Finn Cole.
In October 2024, the Don’t Worry Darling star revealed to British Vogue that she was dating someone new, though she kept his identity under wraps at the time. She did, however, reflect on the “magic” of “falling in love.”
“I believe that if magic is real, then it’s falling in love. And I am someone that loves falling in love,” the Oscar nominee said. “I love looking after people. I love caring for people. I love the feeling of someone being there. I love knowing that someone is thinking about me and someone cares for me in the same way that I’m thinking about caring for them.”
She continued, “I think in this portion of my life, I’m trying to make sure that I’m making all the right decisions so that I can have the thing that I want… which is safety, family, a home and security.”
After over a year of romance speculation, Pugh — who dated actor Zach Braff for nearly three years until their 2022 split — hard-launched her relationship with Cole on Instagram in late March 2026.

Cole grew up in Kingston in South West London, according to Gentleman’s Journal. He played rugby throughout his childhood but eventually shifted his focus completely to acting, after some push from his older brother, fellow actor Joe Cole, as he told The Rake in April 2025.

He is an actor
Much like Pugh, Cole is an actor, best known for his roles in crime dramas Peaky Blinders and Animal Kingdom. As for movies, he has appeared in Netflix’s 2023 psychological thriller Locked In, as well as 2025’s Last Breath.
During his conversation with The Rake, Cole opened up about how his brother — who was part of the Peaky Blinders cast before him — has had a “huge” impact on his career.

“It’s amazing having an older brother in the industry because you can ask all the dumb questions. He’s done a lot of it. He’s experienced a lot of it,” Cole said. “Not only is he a really strong and talented actor but he’s always an inspiration for me as an older brother and how to handle the world. I always go to him for advice. So, yeah, I feel very lucky and fortunate to have had that.”
In his free time, Cole enjoys “being outdoors and travelling,” as he told Numéro Netherlands in March 2026.

Pugh and Cole sparked dating rumors after being spotted together at Glastonbury Festival in July 2024. Then, during her October 2024 cover interview with British Vogue, Pugh confirmed she was in a relationship but kept his identity under wraps, adding that they are “figuring what we actually are.”
“And I think for the first time, I’m not allowing myself to go on a roller-coaster,” she told the outlet. “I’m allowing myself to take time to let something evolve and let it be completely real to its core, as opposed to racing into that.”
Pugh also explained why she wanted to be cautious at first, saying, “Falling is the most amazing feeling,” but “unfortunately if that’s the only thing that you know in a relationship, then that’s the thing that you chase. That’s not gonna last.”
They went Instagram official in March 2026
After months of fueling romance rumors — including leaving a flirty comment on Cole’s Instagram post in April 2025 — Pugh hard-launched Cole on her own account in March 2026.
The Oppenheimer star shared several photos from a Bulgari Eclettica High-End Collection launch event in Milan, Italy, including one in which she posed with Cole, who was looking lovingly at her.
“Bvlgari with my boys,” she captioned the post. “Milan, I like your late night pizza 😍.”
That same day, Cole also shared a photo of Pugh on his Instagram, posting a behind-the-scenes snapshot of her posing while sitting on a couch at the event.
Pugh previously said she is “tricky” to date
The actress got candid about her love life in Harper’s Bazaar UK’s May 2025 issue, admitting that she can be “tricky” to date.
“I’m more sympathetic to the people who are in love with me, because it’s not easy!” Pugh said. “I’m tricky — I’m always busy, I can never make dates. But it’s not good enough for me to ask someone to just accept that. I’ll just end up alone. I don’t want that — I want a family.”
