A fan accused Blake Lively of following her outside to her car after they allegedly stayed at the same luxury hotel earlier this month.
Houston resident Kaitlyn Cooper stayed at The Hotel 1928 in Waco, Texas, on March 8. During her visit, she learned that Lively was staying at the hotel.
The Unexpected Encounter
“We caught wind that a VIP was at the hotel from the front desk staff,” Cooper shared in an interview with Daily Mail. “They were chatting among themselves, and there was an energy in the air.”
During dinner, a server revealed that the guest was the Gossip Girl star. Lively had arrived from Austin after promoting Another Simple Favor at the SXSW festival. According to staff, she was visiting Joanna Gaines, the hotel’s owner.
Lively’s Reaction to Being Filmed
Cooper, 27, admitted to discreetly filming Lively to share the moment with friends.
“When she walked in, she was super loud. Her voice was instantly recognizable,” Cooper recalled. “She greeted the front desk staff, glanced at us, and noticed we were filming.”
A video captured Lively in jeans and a white top. Realizing she was being recorded, she quickly covered her face with her hand. Security and hotel staff guided her through the lobby.
The Alleged Parking Lot Confrontation
The next morning, Cooper packed up her car, thinking the encounter was over. But she claimed Lively approached her outside.
“We were loading the car when I heard a woman say, ‘Hi,’” Cooper said. “I looked up and saw Lively holding her phone like she was recording me.”
Caught off guard, Cooper instinctively responded. Lively allegedly circled the car, aiming her camera at the license plate.
“She then handed her phone to her security guard, who walked around the passenger side,” Cooper explained. “After that, they both returned to the hotel.”
Social Media Speculation
Cooper later noticed “strange” Instagram accounts viewing her story, including one linked to a hotel employee and another seemingly tied to Lively’s team. “It’s paranoid behavior,” Cooper remarked. “I think they wanted to see if I posted the video.”
