Breakup rumors are swirling around Cardi B and NFL star Stefon Diggs following a dramatic Super Bowl weekend.
On Monday, Feb. 9, eagle-eyed fans noticed that the couple had unfollowed each other on Instagram. This digital disconnect comes just one day after Diggs and the New England Patriots lost Super Bowl LX to the Seattle Seahawks.
The Super Bowl Disconnect
Cardi B attended the big game at Levi’s Stadium, but not primarily to cheer from a luxury box. Instead, she took the stage to support Bad Bunny during his halftime show.
The “Bodak Yellow” rapper danced in a Puerto Rican-themed La Casita set alongside fellow stars Pedro Pascal, Karol G, and Jessica Alba. However, shortly after the performance, Cardi appeared to leave the stadium. She posted a video of herself singing from inside a car rather than staying for the second half of the game.
Warning Signs?
Fans suspect trouble had been brewing before kickoff.
- The “Good Luck” Comment: At a pre-game party on Feb. 7, a reporter asked Cardi for an inspiring message for Diggs. Her response was a curt “Good luck” before she walked away.
- The Proposal Joke: Conversely, during Opening Night on Feb. 3, Diggs joked about proposing, saying, “It’s on the agenda… I gotta get mine first,” referring to a Super Bowl ring.
Relationship & Legal Troubles
The pair made their first public appearance in May 2025 and welcomed a baby boy on Nov. 4, 2025. They have yet to reveal his name.
The split speculation also coincides with serious legal issues for Diggs. He is currently facing charges of felony strangulation and misdemeanor assault stemming from an incident at his Massachusetts home two months ago. Diggs denies the allegations, but a court date is scheduled for Feb. 13.
