Once more, Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler embraced his “emo Jimmy” alter ego.
The appearance Butler unveiled during media day sessions ahead of the 2023-24 NBA season resurfaced in his cameo appearance in the music video “So Much (For) Stardust” by the popular rock band Fall Out Boy.
The band also shared a promotional post on social media, referring to Butler as “Heat Wentz,” a nod to Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz, who co-stars with Butler in the video.
In the video, Butler is depicted dancing and mouthing the lyrics. He appears in a purple gemstone-studded outfit with a cowboy hat, sporting a hairstyle reminiscent of his “emo Jimmy” look.
Butler has openly expressed his fondness for country music, revealing it as his favorite genre. As the seasoned star of the Heat, Butler serves as the team’s default disc jockey and frequently shares his passion for this music style in the locker room, as reported by ESPN’s Nick Friedell.
