In the April 6 episode, three key characters die. Rick (Walton Goggins) tries to forgive Sritala’s (Lek Patravadi) husband, Jim (Scott Glenn), for his father’s death. But things spiral. Rick, his girlfriend Chelsea (Aimee Lou Wood), and Jim — who turns out to be Rick’s real father — all die.
Elsewhere, Belinda (Natasha Rothwell) confronts Greg (Jon Gries), now revealed as Gary. Their tense exchange brings closure to a long-running subplot that started back in Season 1
Meanwhile, the Ratcliff family experiences their own chaos. Piper (Sarah Catherine Hook) backs out of her plan to stay behind at a monastery. Her father Timothy (Jason Isaacs) then secretly tries to poison the entire family — except Lochlan (Sam Nivola). However, only Lochlan drinks the tainted smoothie. He survives, unaware of the attempt. The family sails away, believing everything is fine.

As for the girls’ trip, Kate (Leslie Bibb), Laurie (Carrie Coon), and Jaclyn (Michelle Monaghan) find emotional closure during their final dinner. Laurie opens up about her past regrets, helping them bond. Earlier, they had witnessed Rick kill Jim — a story they’ll likely share on future vacations.
Series creator Mike White admitted post-finale that writing this season took a toll. “This show is my whole life,” he said. “Then it’s over and I’m back home with my dog.” He also hinted at more twists in the future. “There’s still room for more murders at White Lotus hotels,” he teased in the HBO featurette that aired after the finale.
Parker Posey, who plays Victoria, confessed she forgot who even died during filming. “It was so stressful when I read it,” she said. Jon Gries added, “Whatever you think you know, you’re going to get it wrong.”
